It's a veteran operation with a genuine differentiator: alongside data, it sells phone numbers and calling — which pure-data eSIMs can't do.

Its catalogue in our comparison has an unusual shape: 3,133 plans across 173 countries, but only THREE durations — 10, 30 and 180 days. A one-week trip means paying for 10 days; a weekend has no format at all.

Two columns come up empty in our tables: hotspot and 5G. The feed declares neither, and empty means "not stated", not "not available". Our ranking excludes those criteria from BNESIM's score rather than scoring them zero — punishing a provider for not publishing a field would be inventing a weakness.

Its 121 unlimited plans run $3.02/day, on the expensive side: unlimited is a sideline here, not the speciality. Every plan supports top-ups, though — no need to buy a fresh eSIM when you run short.

On Trustpilot it sits around 3.8 out of 5 across some 370 reviews — the lowest score in this batch. The most-cited complaint is specific: its "BNE coins" system, an internal currency where balances and refunds end up, with documented cases of refunds denied inside the cooling-off period.

App onboarding draws repeated criticism too. On the other side of the scale: those who praise it cite pricing and solid speeds in Europe.

Our reading: a solid catalogue and an established brand, but go in knowing that money entering their ecosystem tends to stay there. If that bothers you, pay plan by plan and never load a balance.
