It sells something almost nobody else has: genuinely huge bundles. 300 GB in Japan for $23.99; 500 GB in Thailand for $8.21. These aren't catalogue errors — we verified them against the store — but wholesale-grade tariffs for genuinely heavy users. Our ranking excludes them from the per-GB maths (nobody burns 500 GB on a trip), but they're in the tables for whoever wants them.

A quirk that explains some odd-looking prices: 641 Airhub plans include a real phone number (+44, +1, +33…) with calling. Their per-gigabyte price runs high because you're buying the line, not just the data.

Airhub's Trustpilot reviews run past a thousand with a high average (~4.3), but the pattern inside the negative ones is consistent and worth knowing: profiles that install but won't connect, and support that is EMAIL-ONLY with 24-72 hour response times — an eternity when you're abroad without data.

Published tests also mention manual APN and carrier selection in some destinations. This is not the eSIM for someone who wants everything to just work on landing.

Our reading: excellent pricing and a catalogue with genuinely unique products (huge bundles, phone numbers), in exchange for accepting that if something breaks, help will be slow. For travellers with some technical confidence, the trade is worth it.
