HiRoaming

Our readers get the code RIGHTESIM10: 10% off, applied automatically when you arrive through our link. We verified it in their store before publishing this review: the site's own banner reads "Coupon RIGHTESIM10 (10% off) will be auto-applied at checkout".

That's why the HiRoaming prices in our tables already include the 10% off. It's what you'll pay, not a list price you then have to discount yourself.

There's a second code, RIGHTESIM20FIRST, worth 20%, but it's first-purchase only and requires creating an account. We don't put it in the link because it would force signup on people who don't want one; it's available as a copyable code if it's worth it to you.

Its catalogue has 2,605 plans across 197 destinations, with two traits worth knowing before you pick it.

The good one: every plan can be topped up, and every plan allows hotspot. Run short mid-trip and you add data to the same eSIM, no new purchase and no new QR code.

The limiting one: it doesn't sell a single unlimited plan. If you don't want to watch your gigabytes, this isn't your provider.

On price it sits mid-market. Its best rate is $0.29/GB, but its catalogue median is $2.72/GB, above the sector's $2.00. In Japan, 10 GB for 30 days is $11.98 at list price, or about $10.78 with the discount, almost exactly the market median.

HiRoaming has no Trustpilot profile and no visible ratings in the app stores. We found neither good nor bad reviews, so we can't tell you how its support behaves when something goes wrong.

Two features are documented: it accepts crypto payments, and it gives points on every top-up (10,000 points are worth $1 toward future purchases). For most travellers those are details; if you pay in crypto, it's one of the few options in our comparison.

Our reading: a well-built catalogue, with top-ups where others don't offer them and a real discount already included, but no public history behind it. For a short, cheap trip the risk is small; for a long one, start with a small plan and top up.
