Roamic

Roamic is based in Sant Cugat del Vallès, near Barcelona, which already sets it apart in a market mostly sold from Singapore, Hong Kong or the US.

Its catalogue in our comparison has a very clear shape: 5,962 plans across 190 destinations, and 4,924 of them (82%) are unlimited. Proportionally, only Roamix (89%) leans harder on not counting gigabytes. Its cheapest unlimited plan is $1.03 per day, mid-table among the 24 providers that sell unlimited.

Durations run from 1 to 30 days with 30 separate options, so you can buy almost exactly the length of your trip. Beyond a month there is nothing.

This needs saying plainly. Roamic reaches us through the Impact affiliate network, and that catalogue publishes neither the daily full-speed allowance of its unlimited plans nor the speed they drop to afterwards. That's why its unlimited rows in our tables carry no cap figure, while other providers' rows do.

The cap exists. The most common complaint in its public reviews is exactly that speeds fall noticeably after a certain amount of use. That isn't a trick (the whole industry works this way), but it does mean you can't compare its "unlimited" with a brand that states 1 GB or 2 GB a day at full speed. Before buying for a video-heavy trip, ask them for the number.

The same catalogue declares neither hotspot nor 5G on almost any plan. Empty means "not stated", not "not available": our ranking doesn't mark it down for that.

On Trustpilot it holds 4.7 out of 5 across roughly 20,800 reviews: 83% five-star and only 3% one-star. That's a volume no single good or bad streak can move, and it replies to 98% of negative reviews, usually within a week.

Most praised: quick installation, working straight after landing, and the price. Most criticised, besides the cap above: occasional connection failures in specific destinations.

It refunds in full if you haven't used the eSIM within six months, a more generous policy than most. Our reading: for anyone who wants unlimited data without fuss, it's one of the safest choices here. The one thing missing is a published number for how long full speed lasts.
