eSIModo

eSIModo is based in Bucharest and has been operating since 2023. Its catalogue in our comparison is large: 8,073 plans across 186 destinations, durations from 1 to 365 days, and hotspot allowed on all of them.

On price, though, it usually lands above average. Its catalogue median is $2.42/GB, above the sector's $2.00. In Japan, 10 GB for 30 days costs $14.10, 30% more than the market median of $10.80. In Turkey it sits right at the median: $9.63 against $9.18.

Its best-stocked destinations are Japan, Qatar, Turkey, Ethiopia and China. Some of them, like Qatar or Ethiopia, have little competition elsewhere, and that's where it may be worth a look.

eSIModo sells 1,182 unlimited plans from $0.90 per day, mid-table. All of them state their allowance and after-cap speed, which not every provider does, and that counts in its favour.

What to know: half drop to 5 Mbps once the daily allowance is used, the other half to 512 kbps. At 5 Mbps you can watch video and make video calls at normal quality; at 512 kbps messaging and maps work, video doesn't. Two plans that look the same by name can give you very different travel days.

The allowance is 1 GB or 2 GB a day. You'll see it on every row of our tables, next to the after-cap speed, so you can compare before clicking.

eSIModo has a Trustpilot profile but zero reviews. There's no public way to know how its support handles problems, and we won't assume.

One detail from its own catalogue makes us cautious: it listed the same plan twice at different prices (Mali, 3 GB for 30 days, at $36.65 and at $10.50). Since we can't know which one its store charges, we show neither. It's a handful of cases, but it's the kind of inconsistency worth keeping in mind.

Our readers get the code RIGHTESIM, typed in the cart. Our reading: useful where competition is thin and for its 5 Mbps unlimited plans; in the most popular destinations you'll usually find something cheaper in the same table.
