AdventureSIMs

AdventureSIMs is an Australian brand with a short catalogue: 879 plans across 144 destinations, the second-narrowest coverage of any provider we track. Where it is present, though, it's usually well priced.

Its catalogue median is $1.40/GB, clearly below the sector's $2.00. In Japan, 10 GB for 30 days costs $8.85 against a market median of $10.80. In Turkey, $6.32 against $9.18. That's roughly 20% and 30% cheaper than usual.

Its prices reach us in Australian dollars and we convert them daily at the ECB rate. What you see in our tables is that day's conversion, not a fixed figure.

AdventureSIMs sells data bundles only: no unlimited plans at all. In return, 864 of its 879 plans can be topped up and all of them allow hotspot.

5G appears on 639 plans, depending on each country's network. Durations run from 1 to 365 days with nine options: less granular than some, but enough for normal trips.

Our readers get the code RIGHTESIM5, worth 5% off. Note that it isn't applied automatically; you have to type it in the cart. That's why the prices we publish are list prices. Typing it costs nothing and doesn't change our commission.

In fairness: AdventureSIMs has a Trustpilot profile but zero reviews, and its app is so recent that Apple and Google don't show a rating yet. We don't know how its support handles problems, and anyone claiming otherwise is guessing.

The few editorial tests published agree with what its catalogue shows: data only (no calls or SMS), support mainly by email, and coverage still growing, with destinations missing.

Our reading: if you're heading somewhere it covers (Japan, Thailand, the US, Canada or Europe, among others), its prices are worth a look. If you're going somewhere less common, it probably isn't there.
